Tribune-Review
Sunday, June 14, 1992 by: Phyllis Pack - Style Editor The summer season used to offer something of a respite from events of a fund- raising nature. No more. Pictured is "Hollyhocks" an unframed print measuring 25 by 33 inches being sold as a fund raiser for the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. Asking price is $25 and each is numbered and signed by the artist, Johno Prascak. His unique painting style is created by mixing enamel with sand. The result is a textured, brightly colored work of art. The sale is being coordinated by the PCI Associates, a group of volunteers dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the institute which was created in 1984 and is now nationally recognized as a center for cancer treatment, research and education.
